Despite the many challenges of 2021 the year has brought with positive developments!
Our members’ efforts to raise the association’s profile have had an impact: PVthin organised a successful scientific virtual reception, held meetings with numerous key decision-makers and stakeholders and has increased its membership. In the upcoming year, PVthin will continue its efforts to position the association as the thin-film PV go-to organisation.
Have a look at the 2021 achievements:
A growing membership
In 2021 PVthin welcomed DuPont Teijin Films as the association’s newest member, represented by Steven Davies.

Numerous meetings with EU decision-makers and key stakeholders
In 2021 PVthin continued its efforts to build up the association’s profile before numerous EU decision-makers and stakeholders. We had the pleasure to introduce PVthin and discuss various industry issues with representatives from the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Environment Agency.
Among the various topics discussed were the Renewables Energy Directive revision, the new Ecodesign and Energy Labelling requirements, the need to strengthen EU circular economy requirements for solar PV or the New EU Industrial Strategy.
